Daniel Thompson was terrific for the Waimea Wind in his team's 8-0 triumph over the Cozumel Beaches. His performance earned Thompson rave reviews. Thompson picked up the win for Waimea, going 5.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Mark Weston recorded the save, his 1st.

Waimea took the lead, 5-0, on William Avila's 4th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Avila hit in the bottom of the eighth, made Cozumel pitcher Antonio Bredenberg wince.

"We've got great fans," said Avila. "I hope they got what they came for."

Losses have been few and far between for the Beaches, who are now 11-4.
