Black Bears Take Down Racers, 3-2
|
The Thunder Bay Black Bears topped the Bowling Green Racers, 3-2, in RCL AAA action at Edgbaston. The standout performance belonged to Thunder Bay pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Ricky Plasencia. Bowling Green, now 2-14, continues its tough start.
Roberto Miranda was the walk-off hero for Thunder Bay. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Black Bears third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Plasencia said.
