The home team gave the crowd at The Ice Box something to cheer about.

The performance of Antonio Zuniga proved critical in helping Minneapolis beat Amarillo, 6-4. The Freeze third baseman went 3-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was Michael Slater. He's now 2-1. He went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 10 hits for the Freeze.

There was more than one reason the Freeze beat the Armadillos, but Zuniga's big at-bat in the bottom of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

"I put some good swings on the ball," said Zuniga.
