The Billings Mustangs beat the State College Swallowtails, 7-6, at Stars Field. The win was due in part to designated hitter Dan Walker, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Bobby Avila. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 6 runs on 12 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 3. Victor Gonzalez recorded the save, his 2nd.

With Billings leading 5-0 in the top of the fourth, Walker came up to bat against State College pitcher Mike Lanham. Walker hit a slider to right-center for a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Mustangs on top, 7-0.

"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Walker.

Billings is now 6-6.
