The Buffalo Bison topped the Pennsylvania Butterflies, 8-3, in Thurman Munson League action at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Buffalo pitcher and Lawrence, Massachusetts, native Jim Wallace. The loss puts Pennsylvania at 0-2.

Buffalo right fielder Jonathan Schimmel contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Bison ahead, 3-0.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Pennsylvania manager Aaron Barnes.
