Due in large part to designated hitter Jason Hansen, the Bowling Green Racers sunk the Indianapolis Ambition, 6-5. Hansen was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Danny Barajas, the winner, goes to 1-1. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts over 7 innings. Jason Rhodes picked up his 1st save of the season.
Seth Drader aided the Bowling Green cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the second. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Drader told a Bowling Green Bulletin reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
The Racers have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 4th win in 12 games.
