Ambition Rally to Win
The inspired effort of Minneapolis shortstop Don Deakin was not enough to prevent a loss, 4-3, to the Indianapolis Ambition. Deakin was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. Rogelio Reynoso picked up the win in relief. Terry Brulhart took the loss for Minneapolis. Juan Soria earned the save, his 3rd, for the Ambition.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Austin Garvin came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Minneapolis pitcher Terry Brulhart, he hit a 0-1 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Indianapolis on top, 4-3.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Garvin said.

The loss lowers the Minneapolis record to 6-5.
