The Pasadena Bumblebees topped the Reno Raiders, 4-3, at The Hole. Pasadena first baseman Robby Helt was a spark plug for the offense. He was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Pasadena reliever Scott Dagley picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Scott Bertram absorbed the loss. Pasadena is now 3-7.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Pasadena pinch hitter Tristan Jones, facing Scott Bertram, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Bumblebees the 4-3 win.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Reno skipper Maziba Ewansiha.
