The Indianapolis Ambition had no problem beating the Antioch Coal Miners, 12-3, at The Coal Mine. Tom Ronca led the way. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Indianapolis. Losses have been few and far between for the Coal Miners, now 8-3.

Indianapolis used a well-timed hit by Rich Van Winkle to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Ambition ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Good team win," Van Winkle said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
