Caterpillars Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
Jaden Sims did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Pasadena Bumblebees from being beaten, 9-7, to the Peoria Caterpillars at Excavatar Park. Sims hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Kenny Hoyles, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2061 draft, picked up the win in relief. Junzo Yamabe took the loss for Pasadena. Jordan Curry got credit for the save for Peoria. It was his 3rd of the year.

Ben Petrich took Pasadena hurler Junzo Yamabe deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Caterpillars on top, 8-7. In all, Petrich had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Petrich. "Those qualities define our team."

The Bumblebees, 5-6, continue their sluggish start to the 2064 campaign.
