The Astoria Argonauts beat the Calgary Kodiaks, 6-3, at Foothills Stadium. Astoria catcher Bayissa Njata had an outstanding performance. He went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. Allen Justice got credit for the save for Astoria. It was his 3rd of the year. With the win, Astoria goes to 3-7.

Matt Cordeiro drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate for Astoria. The 26-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Roberto Orellana. It was his 6th RBI of the season.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Cordeiro.
