Wind Pull Out Late Win, 2-1
|
Waimea right-hander Jeremy Harris helped his team edge Thunder Bay by the score of 2-1. Harris kept the opposing lineup in check. The win went to Aidan MacNevin in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Nathan Al-Assel took the loss. Thunder Bay falls to 2-7.
Garrett Stebbins was the walk-off hero for Waimea. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wind pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We busted our tails," said Thunder Bay manager Qi-chang Ec. "But we came up short."
