Fairfield Beats Acadia Park in Extra Innings
The Fairfield Flash had to overcome a fine effort from Acadia Park pitcher Virgil Latour to win, 5-3, in 11 innings at Bar Habor Stadium. Latour went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Fairfield reliever Bryan Stanford picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Dusty Miranda took the loss. The win puts Fairfield at 6-3.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the 11th, with the game tied, Ashenafi Njiru was at the plate when Fairfield scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Flash to go in front, 4-3.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Njiru.
