Reno registered a win at Capital Grounds by beating the Albany Firebirds, 5-3. Pitcher David McPhail was one reason why the Raiders triumphed. In 7.1 innings, McPhail surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The Raiders raised their record to 6-1.

Reno took a 5-3 lead on Troy Tobias's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Tobias hit in the top of the eighth, left Albany pitcher Lesmana Susanti visibly frustrated.
