Fort Worth right fielder Ramon Sandoval had a good game, even if his team did not. The Cats dropped a 7-6 decision to Waimea at The Wind Tunnel. Sandoval was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Bob Harrigan was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Jake Williams. Spring Hill, Florida-born Jay Nolan came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Wind trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Waimea on top.
