The Albany Firebirds topped the Reno Raiders, 9-6, with youngster Ashton Dillon playing a key role. Dillon hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Firebirds in the win. Josh Burdette collected save number 3. The win leaves Albany with a record of 3-3.

The Raiders had been locked in a 5-5 tie with the Firebirds going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old second baseman Glenn Ledlow came to the plate. Ledlow hit a 2-run home run on a 0-1 splitter from Reno hurler Armando Ramos. It was Ledlow's 1st home run of the year.

"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Dillon told the Albany Daily.
