The Albuquerque Cacti topped the Fort Worth Cats by the score of 9-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to designated hitter Rusty Ela. Ela went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles for the Cacti on the day. Albuquerque, now 5-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Ela had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the third inning, when he hit a single. The Cacti went on to win.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Albuquerque skipper Matt Wells.
