Geiger goes 3-for-3 in Antioch Win
The Antioch Coal Miners defeated the Minneapolis Freeze, 9-7, at The Ice Box. Antioch was led by 27-year old catcher Keith Geiger, who went 3 for 3 with 3 doubles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Pat Terry earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 3 runs on 10 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Nate D'Ambrosio nailed down his 4th save.

Early in the game, second baseman Joey McCarthy had a 2-run home run for Antioch. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Coal Miners on top, 4-2.
