Raiders Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
The Detroit Death Stars and Reno Raiders brought some excitement to The Death Star.

The Reno Raiders picked up a win at The Death Star, knocking off the Detroit Death Stars, 6-2. Starting pitcher Orlando Cordoba, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Raiders, with just their 2nd win so far in 2044, have yet to catch fire.

In the top of the fifth, second baseman Carlos Ballesteros hit a run-scoring double to center. The double, which was hit off of Bernard Young, gave Reno a 4-2 lead.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Cordoba.
