The Cacti grabbed a win, 6-5, at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Indian Wells pitcher John Hoy. Hoy went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Kevin Labbee got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The Cacti keep rolling, raising their record to 4-2.
Albuquerque took a 6-5 lead on Allan Nugent's 7th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Nugent hit in the bottom of the 12th, left Indian Wells pitcher Luis Salcido shaking his head.
In postgame remarks, Nugent simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
