The Candiac Redbirds downed the Detroit Death Stars, 5-2, at Municipal Stadium. The Redbirds were led by Martin Bond, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-2 with a home run and 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was Josh Reddish, his 2nd. The loss drops Detroit to 2-2.

Early in the game, second baseman Gordon McLean had a 2-run double for Candiac. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Redbirds on top, 2-1.
