Fans watched the Minneapolis Freeze and the Calgary Kodiaks fight to the finish.

Calgary got a terrific game from second baseman Xavier Ray. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Minneapolis, 6-5. Ray went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Calgary falls to 2-2.

The Freeze got a big at-bat from first baseman Josh Flippo. For the game, Flippo went 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Minneapolis a 6-5 lead.

Flippo described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
