Firebirds Lose to Caterpillars in Walk-Off
The Peoria Caterpillars got a stellar effort from pitcher Mike DeGraffenried, helping Peoria score a win over the visiting Albany Firebirds, 4-2. Peoria reliever Jordan Curry was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Mark Buchholz took the loss. Albany, with the loss, is 0-3.

The decisive blow was delivered by George Cronin in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Mark Buchholz to win the game for Peoria. The home crowd went nuts.

"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Caterpillars manager Scott Andrews.
