In a tight contest at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza, the Amarillo Armadillos edged the Indianapolis Ambition by the score of 7-6. Amarillo second baseman Nate Parish, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Mark Hartje was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Justin Montana. The win moves Amarillo to a record of 2-1.

John Tarr helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Armadillos.
