Aeropostales Fall to Canadians, 4-2
|
The Vancouver Canadians defeated the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 4-2, in RCL AAA action at Stars Field, with Vancouver pitcher Dave Francisco named player of the game. The loss drops Indian Wells to 1-1.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 3rd and two out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when center fielder Jim Overby hit a run-scoring single. The Canadians went on to win.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Overby told the Vancouver Today. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
