Cacti Need Extra Frames to Get Past Hitmen
|
Albuquerque pitcher Josh Bradshaw did his part in helping his team beat the Calgary Hitmen, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Kevin Labbee got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. The Cacti, now 2-0, have stormed out of the gates.
The Cacti got an important contribution from left fielder Jake Sandlin, who in the top of the 12th punched a 1-1 circle change into center for a 2-run single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Cacti ahead, 4-1.
Bradshaw called the win "a collective effort."
