Sasquatch Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
Seattle beat El Paso at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Travis Wharton. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Macias. He tossed 95 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 4 hits. Nate Wesson closed the door for Seattle, picking up his 1st save of the year.

The Sasquatch got a big at-bat from shortstop Adam Bridgman. For the game, Bridgman went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Seattle a 2-0 lead.

"We squandered some opportunities," said El Paso manager Lorenzo Castillo.

The defeat makes the Mavericks 6-9.
