Amarillo Gets 4-2 Win Versus Minneapolis in 11
|
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Minneapolis Freeze home opener. Aymeric Chili started for the home team against Rick Booth for the Amarillo Armadillos. The Freeze were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 4-2, Amarillo, in 11 innings. Aymeric Chili, though, was impressive. The win was credited to 23-year old left-handed pitcher Ryan Krahn in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Terry Brulhart took the loss.
Tyler Pate had a direct impact on the outcome. Pate contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the 11th inning to put Amarillo up, 3-2.
"Sweet win for us, tough loss for them," said Pate.
