Steelheads Handle Pacifica, Snag 5-2 Win
The 2064 season is off to a good start for the Roaring River Steelheads. The hometown Steelheads knocked off the Pacifica Shamrocks, 5-2, at Casino Grounds. Roaring River pitcher Evan Gerber paced his team to the win. Gerber, who is rated as the 6th best prospect by BNN, went the distance for Roaring River. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits.

Larry Neal had a big 2-run double for the Steelheads in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Roaring River leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Chris Barratt and swatted a double to center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Steelheads ahead, 4-1.

Roaring River manager Mike Bouffard praised his team's "no BS approach."
