The Eureka Hornets defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 9-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Field de Los Layendas. Benny Rodriguez pulled his weight. The 14-year veteran went 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The loss puts Cabo San Lucas at 7-10.

Eureka won the game in part because of Josh Sweet. The left fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hornets ahead, 7-3. For the game, Sweet had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
