Monarchs Deal Buzzard's Bay 11-7 Defeat
The Marysville Monarchs began the 2064 season with a convincing 11-7 win over the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats at Mitts Fieldhouse. Most impressive was Marysville second baseman Cam Voigt, who was 3-4 with 2 triples and 2 walks. He scored 3 times. Ken McCutcheon got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 5 innings, giving up 6 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 5. Mark Huffer closed the game out for Marysville, earning his 1st save.

Early in the game, Voigt had a run-scoring triple for Marysville. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Monarchs on top, 1-0.
