Baez Goes Deep Twice in 11-7 Armada Win
|
The 11-7 Quebec win over El Paso was due in large part to Oscar Baez. The Armada designated hitter belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Quebec reliever Gilles Bousquet picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Joseph Colombi was tagged with the loss. Quebec now sits at 66-73, while El Paso falls to 75-64.
Dan Nieman helped out the Quebec cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.
"This team is real focused right now," said Quebec manager Ramu Pavi.
