Eureka got a terrific game from first baseman Julio Rivera. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Buffalo, 7-6. Rivera went 4-5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Bobby Milleville was the winner in relief. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Justin Soule. The triumph puts Buffalo at 80-58 for the season.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Cliff Millar came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Eureka pitcher Justin Soule, he hit a 2-2 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Buffalo on top, 7-6.

"Big win," said Millar.
