The Kansas City Tornadoes did just enough to sneak past the Chicago Eclipse, 4-3, at Debris Field. Kansas City pitcher Chris Knotts, in particular, had a standout performance. The win was credited to 24-year old right-handed pitcher Raul Capetillo in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jerry Bamberg took the loss. After today's action, Kansas City sits at 79-82, while Chicago falls to 95-66.

Micah Goodwin was the walk-off hero for Kansas City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tornadoes first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Chris was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Kansas City manager Lewis Cannon.
