Earthquakes Earn Win with Late Rally
The San Francisco Earthquakes outlasted Kevin Julien and the Vancouver Pioneers, 9-8. Julien was impressive in the loss. The Vancouver third baseman went 3 for 6 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The winner was Nate D'Ambrosio in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Jose Cedano took the loss. San Francisco is now 81-79, while Vancouver is 76-84.

Jeff Spain was the walk-off hero for San Francisco. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Earthquakes pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Spain said.
