The Kansas City Tornadoes grabbed a win, 10-6, over the Seattle Sasquatch at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. Kansas City right fielder Ramon Tapia went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Monty Brewster got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 5 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. Seattle, with the loss, is 8-6.

Kansas City used the clutch hitting of Micah Goodwin to snag the win. The second baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tornadoes ahead, 10-5. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Tapia.
