Earthquakes Rally For Late Win Over Blazers
The Bloomington Blazers got a superb performance from pitcher Mike Hursh, but the San Francisco Earthquakes still won the game, 5-3. Hursh threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Bobby Saulino picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-10. Victor Ramirez, who is tied for 8th in the TML in complete games with 1, was tagged with the loss. Earning his 17th save of the year was Ken Thompson.

San Francisco took a 4-3 lead on Cody Walters's 26th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Walters hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Bloomington pitcher Victor Ramirez visibly frustrated.

Walters called the win "a lesson in teamwork."

The second-place Blazers now sit at 78-60.
