Butterflies Topple Texans, 6-4, as Yurick Shines
|
The Pennsylvania Butterflies stopped the Dallas Texans, 6-4, behind an impressive performance from Jeff Yurick. The 21-year old right fielder made life miserable for Dallas pitching. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner in relief was Benito Sera. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. With the win, Pennsylvania raised its record to 74-63.
Yurick contributed in the bottom of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Pennsylvania get the win.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said Pennsylvania manager Aaron Barnes.
