Tornadoes Send Dallas Home with 6-3 Loss
Mike Hernandez impressed in the 6-3 Kansas City win over Dallas. Hernandez, who finished 5th in the TML in batting average with .338 in 2061, was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Paul Alexander, the winner, improved to 10-14. He held the Texans to 3 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. In the bottom of the 6th, third baseman Matt Cardon gave Kansas City the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Tornadoes had been trailing 1-0, but the two-out single off Dallas pitcher Victor Lara changed that -- and Kansas City went on to win.
