Seattle Absorbs 6-4 Loss to El Paso
|
The El Paso Mavericks knocked off the Seattle Sasquatch, 6-4, at The Corral. Jason Lawson was a big reason El Paso won. The shortstop was 2 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jeff Kappel. He tossed 82 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. Picking up the save was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Frans van der Meer.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Lawson hit a 3-run home run. It thrust the Mavericks into the lead, 6-3.
