Millers Sneak By Pioneers, 4-3
|
Vancouver shortstop Wonus Hagner had a good game, even if his team did not. The Pioneers dropped a 4-3 decision to Milwaukee at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Hagner went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Danny Tavarez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 3 save opportunities. The win puts Milwaukee at 70-66 this season.
John Capanna came through with a big-time hit for Milwaukee. The left fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Capanna told the Milwaukee Observer.
