|
Ben Molter was superb against Mexico City. The right-hander had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Bison victory. The score was 4-2. The winning pitcher was Molter, now 2-1. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 10. Mike Waldrup earned save number 4 this season.
The Bison got a big at-bat from first baseman Connor Gaudet. For the game, Gaudet went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Buffalo a 2-1 lead.
Gaudet called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
Mexico City falls to 8-5.
