Getting a good performance from third baseman Matt Pitts, the Hawaii Honu defeated the Bighorn Bison, 13-6. Pitts went 2-3 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Honu. Jesus Giron notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 4.1 innings. His record now sits at 2-6. The loss makes Bighorn 75-82.

Aaron Gross, who led the RCL in doubles with 54 in 2061, aided the Hawaii cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder went 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Gross told the Hawaii Daily.
