The Kansas City Tornadoes picked up a win at Debris Field, knocking off the Buffalo Bison, 10-5. Starting pitcher Mario Villegas played a key role in the triumph. Villegas picked up the win for Kansas City, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 11-7. The second-place Tornadoes now have a win-loss record of 76-59.

Tom Castro had a big 2-run double for the Tornadoes in the bottom of the third inning. With Kansas City leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a splitter from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Ben Molter and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tornadoes ahead, 3-0.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Castro said.
