After his 5-hit effort at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium was tarnished by Pennsylvania's 11-8 loss to the Buffalo Bison, left fielder Philippe Parent told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win."

He didn't get the win, but the 26-year-old had a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Bison.

"His swing is getting there," said Butterflies skipper Aaron Barnes after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Philippe did that to perfection and we wasted it."

Philippe Parent hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

This year, Parent has socked 169 hits in 580 at-bats for a .291 average with 24 home runs. He is getting on base at a .366 pace and his totals also include 82 RBIs and 88 runs scored.
