Corson has 4 hits to Fuel Pilots Offense

The Jacksonville Pilots defeated the Milwaukee Millers, 8-2, at Arnold Field. Leading the charge for Jacksonville was second baseman Sam Corson. He went 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Jeremy Davis, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held the Millers to no runs on 2 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Russ Fought closed the game out for Jacksonville, earning his 1st save.
Cameron Mance had a big 2-run double for the Pilots in the bottom of the third inning. With Jacksonville leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Jay Davis, who finished 4th in the TML in strikeouts with 173 last year, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pilots ahead, 5-0.
"They took it to us," said Milwaukee manager Kakuzo Kobayashi.
With the loss, Milwaukee sinks to 7-10.
