6 Straight Wins for Blazers
|
Jim Wallace pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Buffalo Bison, despite Wallace's fine outing, dropped a 1-0 decision to the Bloomington Blazers at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. The third-place Bison dropped to 76-80.
Bryan Criner delivered a big hit for Bloomington. The catcher drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blazers ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"We leaned on our pitching tonight," Criner said.
