The Eureka Hornets beat the Buffalo Bison, 8-6, at The Nest. John Campbell, who is on pace for 101 RBI this season, starred for Eureka. He was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. Picking up his 22nd save was 22-year old left-handed pitcher Justin Soule. The victory gives the Hornets a record of 76-57.

Eureka designated hitter Mark Lloyd helped the Hornets go up, 4-2, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Lloyd hit a 2-run single off Buffalo pitcher Dave Wenzel.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Eureka manager Juan Montés.
