Bryan Bircher did a number on the Pioneers in the 21-7 Cabo San Lucas victory -- and the number was 5. The Toreros center fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Field de Los Layendas to lead his club past the Vancouver Pioneers.

"I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."
