Toreros Drop 8-2 Decision
|
Milwaukee turned a good effort from starter Robbie Hunter into a win over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros at The Mandalore Complex. The final score was 8-2. Hunter yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 7-6. The defeat makes Cabo San Lucas 56-77.
Chris Pagan had a big 2-run double for the Millers in the bottom of the first inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 33-year old right-handed pitcher Jason Weiss and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 30th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Millers ahead, 4-0.
"Robbie executed his pitches at a high level," said Milwaukee manager Kakuzo Kobayashi.
