Butterflies Stun Gremlins, 6-3
|
The Pennsylvania Butterflies defeated the Houghton Gremlins, 6-3, at Golden Goebels Park. Spencer Beddall was one of the standouts for Pennsylvania. His 3 hits included 1 single and 2 triples -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 3 he knocked in. The win belonged to Dakson Rocket in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Chris Wethington took the loss for Houghton. Eric Reichel earned the save, his 26th.
Beddall had a game-changing triple in the top of the ninth. On a 0-2 splitter from Chris Wethington, he banged a 2-run triple to left-center, giving the Butterflies a 5-3 lead. It was the 4th triple of the year for Beddall.
"Getting the win feels nice," said Beddall. "More importantly, I had a good game."
The Butterflies now have a record of 70-63.
