Texans Deal Beach Bums Painful Loss
The Dallas Texans defeated the Traverse City Beach Bums, 5-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Metroplex Park. Dallas pitcher Bart Watling had a standout performance. Dallas reliever Chris Nugent picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Kadidu Dajan was tagged with the loss. Dallas is now 55-78, while Traverse City is 52-81.

Dallas got a knockout punch from Jon Funk. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Watling.
