Galdamez Powers Gremlins to 9-1 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 18-year old second baseman Leo Galdamez, the Houghton Gremlins stopped the Mexico City Luchadores, 9-1, in 9 innings. With the win, the Gremlins improved to 83-50.

Galdamez contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Houghton in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Galdamez took a forkball from Alberto Candelaria and stroked the home run to left. His 24th home run of the season allowed the Gremlins to leap in front, 2-1.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Houghton manager Dane Freeman.
